This is how we treat our heroes?

Jeffrey Maxwell is a 30 year old veteran of the U.S. Marines and the War in Iraq. After his honorable service to this country he returned from the war and decided that he would go out and make something of himself and get a college degree. That was 3 years ago.

Today, Maxwell is trying to get back in college after he was ousted by a student disciplinary panel who said that he "may not re-enroll at the college until a mental health professional determines that he is not a threat to himself or the public." So what exactly did he do? Did he cheat on an exam? Did he rape a woman on campus? Did he start a riot on campus where there was property damage done? No. In fact, if he HAD done any of these he would probably still be there at Western Oregon University.

No, what Maxwell did was even more hienous than that. He was caught, on campus, with concealed weapons and .........worst of all....one of the weapons was a gun! Can you believe that? A GUN!!!!! Well, that is inexcusable. Especially in the liberal mecca of today's university campus!!

It matters not that he had a concealed weapon's permit and was a "law abiding" gun owner. Or the fact that as a former Marine, Mr Maxwell is very well trained to use this weapon. None of that matters. What matters is that the university actually has a no-gun policy which Maxwell knew nothing about.

So how did they treat this hero? They handcuffed him and dragged him off campus. Then in their infinite wisdom, a bunch of liberal, snot-nosed kids that were probably watching High School Musical while Maxwell was dodging bullets and serving his country, decided that he must have a mental health issue and can't come back until he proves that he is mentally competent.
Why do you ask would Maxwell do such a thing? Maxwell said he was concerned about his and other students' safety after the April 2007 massacre at Virginia Tech.

"When Marines hear gunfire, we don't run from it. We run toward it," Maxwell told KATU. "I kind of thought of myself as one of the good guys – the one who, if something happened at school, was going to step in and save everybody else."

He did it for his safety and for the safety of his fellow students. Instead of watching a massacre and be powerless to stop it you would have a trained Marine that knows exactly how to nullify this type of threat and the means to do so. That way we wouldn't have to watch the body bags of over a dozen students be wheeled out the door on national television.

Apparently that makes too much sense. Instead they would rather their students be lambs waiting for the slaughter as some crazed lunatic decides he no longer wants to live and wants to take some of his fellow students with him.

This is a perfect example of political correctness gone awry. Wake up America!! We have a RIGHT to bear arms. No university law should be able to trump that of the State. At present, Maxwell is appealing his case, and the District Attorney has dropped the charges. And yet, he is going to have to beg to get back on campus and finish his education while the little punks that ousted him get to laugh behind his back (which they did after they imposed judgement) because they think they did something great and stood up for themselves. However, the only thing they have done is brought shame upon themselves and the university and have shown themselves to be ignorant of what America truly is. Cowards, all of them. To Mr Maxwell: from one Marine to another...Semper Fidelis, Marine!

BTW, I smell a lawsuit coming. Something tells me that Mr Maxwell will no longer have to be concerned (if he ever was) about money for his college education. There WILL be an apology soon also. Bet on it.

The "bloom" is off the rose

Well that didn't take long. I have been waiting for Obama to do this and he finally did. All throughout the campaign as people would shower him with accolades about being the "chosen one" he would tend to brush them off. After all, he is smart enough to know that eventually that would turn many people against him if he displayed an air of entitlement. However, now that he is in the Oval Office he appears to be ready to assert himself and cash in on that moniker.

At a recent White House meeting with Republican "leaders" ( and I use that term lightly) Obama made the comment "I won" when told that they had some concerns about the new stimulus package he is trying to get the Congress to pass. This comment tells me that he has no intentions of playing fair with the other side and with the Dems in control he plans to ramrod whatever he can through both Houses of Congress while he has the opportunity.

That comment also tells me that he plans to assert his new found "messiahness" to his advantage and belittle the GOP whenever given a chance. Make no mistake, there will be NO bipartisan cooperation with this White House that isn't coerced. Obama plans to bully the GOP into submission and he off to a great start.

My feeling is that at some point Obama will over-reach and will over-play his hand. His recent comments about Rush Limbaugh confirm this. According to the New York Post (and the headline on the DrudgeReport) Obama also said "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done." Obama feels that he has so much political capital that he is untouchable and that he can do almost anything and get the approval of his "Obamacons". He's right too! These zombies will believe anything he says and they will give him a pass on just about anything he does. For now. Going after Rush Limbaugh is a big mistake and it's been tried before. Be careful Mr Obama, many have tried....and failed.

Even the media is starting to see that Mr Obama is signaling that when it comes to THIS White House things will NOT be business as usual. Obama used the media to disseminate his propaganda during the campaign to persuade the ignorant that he was NOT a liberal, socialist and that he was a new kind of politician. The media obeyed and did it's job (thank you Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, MSNBC and the list goes on) and they expected that there would be some kind of payback for their loyalty. Sorry, not in this administration. Just like everyone else the Mr Obama used to get to where he is he has left them behind.

I think we are going to see a very different President than we have see in a very long time in Mr Obama. He will aggressively, but cautiously, put forward HIS agenda and he will not compromise on anything. He will run roughshod over his enemies and he will have no mercy. After all, he is accountable to no one. His minions think he is a god and his critics are afraid of him. This is going to be interesting to watch and very dangerous for America!

Newsweek tries to right a "wrong".

In what has to be the most disrespectful and dishonest piece of journalism written on this subject to date, Newsweek's "religion writer" Lisa Miller has taken a very hard jab at the religious side of the gay marriage debate. In her piece "The Religious Case for Gay Marriage" she basically tries to argue that The Bible is NOT specific when it comes to the issue and that when religious people use this as a basis for their opposition towards gay marriage they are merely allowing their own interpretation to guide their decisions. The byline of her piece states: Opponents of gay marriage often cite Scripture. But what the Bible teaches about love argues for the other side. Really? Well since it is obvious to me that Lisa Miller has not READ The Bible, I've decided to help her out with what it DOES say about this issue.

First, it's interesting to note that she uses the age-old tactic of quoting from the Old Testament when she describes the different types of "marriages" that God allowed in ancient times. This is something that people often do when they want you to believe that God actually said you COULD have 10 wives or husbands. Well, let's use the very document that she pretends to be referencing from to make her argument. What does God say about marriage?

In Genesis 2:22-24 God puts Adam to sleep and removes a rib from him in order to create woman. He then present her to Adam who uses poetry when he lays his eyes upon her and calls her woman. The next verse 2:24 states the following: Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. This is the first time that The Bible talks of marriage as between a man and a woman but it is not the last.

Let's look at what Jesus says about marriage in the New Testament. In Mark 10 Jesus is confronted by the Pharisees and they attempt to trick him into answering a question about divorce. Knowing the hardness of their hearts Jesus answers them this way: But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain (the two) shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain (two), but one flesh. Did you see what just happened? When Jesus was given the chance to speak of the issue of marriage he VALIDATED the Old Testament Scripture as written in Genesis. He also reiterated that God's plan for marriage is one woman and one man. Could it be any clearer than that? No I think not.

So why then would Newsweek take on this issue and blatantly LIE about it? Because they know that most people haven't or won't take the time to read what The Bible says about this issue. They would rather just listen to the media shape their argument for them and then regurgitate it at the opportune time.

Is it possible that there is some other agenda at work here? Absolutely! This is Newsweek's way of protesting the Proposition 8 vote in California recently. They, along with most members of the MSM and Hollywood are outraged that this actually passed. They are thinking to themselves: How DARE the people vote this down!!! What is wrong with them? They obviously don't know the truth behind this issue because they are all stupid and it is up to US to educate them.

The TRUTH of the matter is that we are VERY educated on this issue and we know EXACTLY what The Bible says about it. Regardless of how many "progressive scholars" they trot out to say that we are narrow-minded, intolerant, unloving and stupid WE know why we believe what we believe and we have The Bible to back us up.

The crux of the argument for Newsweek though is not the issue of marriage at all but the opposition to homosexuality itself. Miller claims it's because "we evangelicals" have a hang up with "sex between men" but are somehow ok with lesbian sex. Again, for a "religious writer" she knows very little about her stated subject. The Bible has a great deal to say about homosexuality which for some reason Lisa Miller can't seem to find either. (I'm seriously thinking of sending her my highlighted, underlined and dog-eared Bible so that she can use it as research for her next "religious" article.) For example in Romans 1 we read: "For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error." No ambiguity there, right? I mean can The Bible state it any clearer than it does right there? No, I think not.

And lastly, she resorts to the whole "living document" argument often used by liberals when discussing their opposition to the 2nd Amendment. She states: "Biblical literalists will disagree, but the Bible is a living document, powerful for more than 2,000 years because its truths speak to us even as we change through history." So if we choose to believe that The Bible is to be taken literally then we are obviously not allowing ourselves and out thinking to "change through history". You know, EVOLVE! However, what she fails to understand is that The Bible's truths are supposed to be applied to our lives so that IT changes us, not the other way around.

This whole article is somewhat disingenuous in the fact that Miller does her best to justify the homosexual lifestyle as acceptable in the eyes of God and counts on the fact that most of her loyal readers won't take the time to see if what she says is true. This is in fact a veiled attack on evangelical and fundamental Christianity at is core and it's goal is to further demean bible-believing Christians on the national and world stage. As I stated in my earlier End Days series.....we are getting very close The End and the signs are visible everywhere you look. This attack on God's Word and on His people is just the latest salvo.

Enough is Enough!!!

Ok, this has gone on long enough. How high do gas prices need to go before we do something about it? Maybe the reason that the members of Congress seem to care so little about this is due to the fact that they DON'T DRIVE ANYMORE! When they are busy in D.C. destroying our government they are whisked around all over town by limousines. They don't care how much gas costs because as long as they are working in an official capacity the gas is paid for by the U.S. Government. In other words, WE pay for their gas. That's right. Not only do you have to worry about shelling out $80 or more weekly to keep your own cars on the road but you are also paying for them to gallivant all over the Metro D.C. area as well. I'm sick and tired of allowing these idiots to systematically destroy our country. I think that we should start a petition that REQUIRES them to pay for their own gas from now on regardless of the form of transportation they use. That is the only way they will begin to feel the same "pain at the pump" that we do.

The other thing that "We the People" need to DEMAND is that we begin to drill for oil NOW in ANWR. There is no reason why this can't be done and at the same time take care of the precious environment. As far as I'm concerned I could care less whether the caribou have a place to run in the open Alaskan countryside. I care about the environment just as much as anyone else but when it comes down to the comfort of the caribou or the comfort of my family...guess what? The caribou lose!! We purchased the Alaskan Territory in the first place with the idea that we could use it for it's natural resources. We have the capability to drill for and produce our own oil and Congress won't let us touch it because they are beholden to the environmental wackos out there. The same people that want to ban bonfires on the beach in Seattle because it "causes global warming". Are you kidding me? Are people really that stupid? How is it that Mars and Jupiter are heating up at precisely the same level of warmth that the Earth is if WE are the cause of global warming? Are there Martians burning fossil fuels up there also? Isn't it a more plausible explanation that it could be the current cycle of the Sun instead like MANY scientists believe it is? That would make more sense. However, nothing about this argument has anything to do with common sense. It's just plain fear mongering and liberalism that has gone out of control.

If we don't do something about this now we will all be living in a very different world 10 years from now. We will NOT be the most powerful country in the world but one of the weakest. We will not be the place where dreams can come true but the place where misery and regulation abound. We will be a third world nation that is in debt to other world powers and will be well on the way to becoming the property of one of them. We are at a crossroads in our history and we need to choose where we will be in the years ahead. One road leads back to American greatness and independence and one leads to enslavement and indebtedness. We must choose to break this trend downwards or momentum will swallow us in time. WE are the people that can do this. WE must do this for us and for our children and for the generations of Americans that will follow in our footsteps. Will we answer the alarm or will we hit the snooze button.? The choice is ours. Get involved!! Call your Senator's and your Congressional Representatives and tell then TO DRILL NOW!!! If we make this a big enough deal they will HAVE to listen because this is an election year and they hear better when that's the case. Don't think that someone else is going to do it because they won't. They will think just like you and think someone else will do it. The problem is we ALL think someone else will do it and the truth is that NOBODY is doing it. Do you care enough about this country to fight for it? If not you then who? If not now then when? Enough is enough people we need to take this country back...today!!!
